DeBoer in-home visit Wednesday

Washington head coach Kalen DeBoer will have an in-home visit Wednesday night with three-star Scottadale (Ariz.) Saguaro offensive line commit Parker Brailsford.

Brailsford spoke with DeBoer last Wednesday and the Huskies coach confirmed that his offer and commitment were solid. He's playing in the 5A Arizona state championship on Saturday so he won't be able to make it up to Seattle for an official visit this weekend, which was the plan.

He will enroll at UW in January.

2022 DB Commit Sets Official Visit Date

2022 three-star Fresno (Calif.) San Joaquin Memorial defensive back TJ Hall has set his official visit to Washington for Nov. 13 when the Huskies host Arizona State. Hall has taken an official to Iowa already back on Oct. 9 with the Hawkeyes extending an offer to the senior in September. UW has kept his pledge despite the trip to Iowa City but with the number of underclassmen in the secondary the number of players needed in this years' class depends more on the amount of attrition combined with players who declare early for the 2022 NFL Draft, which could be as high as three or as low as one or none.

Pregame notes: UCLA vs Washington

Washington freshman defensive lineman was in a boot and wheeling around on the sideline during pregame warmups, indicating he won't play Saturday and likely won't return soon. One player that did run on the field, junior edge rusher Zion Tupuola-Fetui, has already made an impact on the game in his 2021 debut returning from an Achilles injury. Junior safety Cameron Williams is also out Saturday but isn't expected to miss more than the game against UCLA.

Of the notable recruits, 2022 Rainier Beach wide receiver Jaelin Green was on the sideline. 2024 O'Dea running back Jason Brown is also at Husky Stadium for the third time this season. The Huskies have offered Brown but have not extended an offer to Green. Another senior recruit on campus without an offer is 2022 Arlington inside linebacker Quintin Yon-Wagner.

2022 four-star Henderson (Nev.) Liberty wide receiver Germie Bernard, a UW commit, is also in town this weekend.

2023 UW Target To Trim List

2023 four-star Lake Stevens (Wash.) running back Jayden Limar announced on Twitter Saturday morning that he will trim his list of scholarship offers down to five on October 30. Limar, a 5-foot-10 and 181-pound junior has offers from several major FBS programs including Washington and Michigan, both of which have hosted the Rivals250 prospect this season. The Huskies and Wolverines are expected to make the cut, leaving three other schools to vie for those spots.

Huskies Have Landed in Ann Arbor

Washington arrived in Ann Arbor on Thursday to get an extra jump on acclimating to EST ahead of Saturday nights prime time matchup with Michigan.

UW got to step foot on the field of The Big House late Thursday night and will have a Friday walk-through be die game day.

One receiver that didn't play in the home opener against Montana, freshman Jalen McMillan, did make the trip to Michigan.

Recruits at Husky Stadium (vs Montana)

Several unofficial visitors were on the sideline before kickoff Saturday, the first game UW or any school has been able to host recruits since the 2019 Apple Cup. Among the names I noticed walking the sideline pregame:

2022 four-star Tumwater (Wash.) tight end Ryan Otton (committed)
2022 three-star South Hill (Wash.) Emerald Ridge wide receiver Denzel Boston (committed)
2023 four-star Lake Stevens (Wash.) running back Jayden Limar (uncommitted)
2023 four-star Tacoma (Wash.) Lincoln defensive end Jayden Wayne (uncommitted)
2024 Seattle (Wash.) O'Dea running back Jason Brown (uncommitted)

Some other pregame notes: Jimmy Lake came over to greet Brown while he was also talking with UW running backs coach Keith Bhonapha and other assistant coaches. Brown is one of the Huskies priority targets in the '24 class and the team offered him earlier.
