Kansas freshman Anrio Adams, originally a part of the 2012 recruiting class, has decided to transfer from the school. He told JayhawkSlant.com..."I feel like going home and playing closer is better for me and my
family," Adams said. "This was definitely a family decision and it was a
decision I wanted to do that would be best for my situation."

He tweeted "#206 NW....." before the news came out on April 3rd.

The NCAA is not really the best at rules but here are some one-time transfer exceptions:

The bulk of student-athletes who transfer and do not need to sit out
do so because they qualify for the one-time transfer exception. To
qualify for the one-time transfer exception, a student-athlete must meet
all of the following requirements:
Play a sport other than baseball, basketball, FBS football, or men's ice hockey;[5]Have never previously transferred from a four-year institution;Be academically eligible at the first institution, assuming the student-athlete had stayed; andGet written notice from the first school that it does not object to the use of the one-time transfer exception.Adams would likely have to go for the last one on that list. Here is the NCAA's definition of a hardship waiver...

"The hardship transfer waiver is for student-athletes who are compelled
to transfer because of financial hardship or an injury or illness to the
student-athlete or a member of their family."

Here is the entire rundown on the NCAA.org website[/URL]
