Everyone has been complaining about Coach Pete taking too long to solidify his staff and not hiring Lupoi, Wilcox, Tui.
Maybe Petersen caught wind that this was going to come out about Lupoi, etc. and he wanted to see how it would shake out and he doesn't know how far the rabbit hole goes with Sark's former assistants and decided that its best to bring in an entirely new staff that has nothing to do with Sark.
If you think about it, Petersen gets to coach with assistants he has chemistry with and integrity, etc and also if UW gets possible sanctions from the NCAA then it looks good that we have no coaches from the regime that caused the infractions. It's a smart move all the way around for Coach Pete.
We have no idea what is going on behind the scenes now or this past week with the staff forming. We are all just impatient because we love our team so much. Two weeks ago we were all in a frenzy and were just hoping we would hire a good coach. We ended up getting a great coach instead with a proven track record. Everything that Sarkisian wasn't. Let's be happy and excited about this great hire and whoever Coach Pete brings in to fill the staff we should trust he knows what he is doing. Better to have a group of coaches with chemistry living ONE brand, Petersen's brand than to hire a bunch of hired guns one by one who have no chemistry together. Everything happens for a reason. I'm excited for the Sark era to move on and very excited for the Petersen era to begin. The DAWGS are going back to where we belong. Pasadena and National Championships!!
