Washington appears on the verge of landing its first verbal commitment in the 2022 class. With the recent pledge of three-star O'Dea HS (Seattle, Wash.) offensive guard Owen Prentice in this years' class the Huskies have finished the 2021 class along the offensive line and shifted focus solely to the next cycle.
With that said, I would expect Graham-Kapowsin offensive lineman Olaivavega (Vega) Ioane to be the first commit in the trenches for UW in 2022. Ioane, listed at 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds, received his offer from the Huskies last summer after a strong showing at the Dirt Dawg Camp and Scott Huff has done well with the in-state prospect since.
