Anaheim (Calif.) Fairmont Prep edge rusher/athlete Collins Acheampong is down to six schools and he has now set his commitment for July 1. The Ghana native came the United States with the plan of playing basketball and reaching college through his skills on the hardwood. He tried out football on a whim and enjoyed it. His school cut the football program during the pandemic, but he has become one of the most coveted recruits in the West for 2023 because of his raw ability and size. He has only ever played one season of football, but coaches are eager to get to work with him and develop his skills. Washington has been one of the schools most active in the process with Acheampong and now has a spot on his final six.
