2017 four-star Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe safety/athlete Isaiah Pola-Mao (uncommitted): Washington hosted the Rivals250 prospect back in Week 1 vs Rutgers, but the Huskies have remained right in the thick of things for Pola-Mao. UW will battle USC and Arizona State for his commitment and the Huskies have a better than 33.3 percent chance. The Huskies were able to fend off in-state ASU for 4-star cornerback Byron Murphy late in the process last year, and Pola-Mao could be that prospect this year.

2017 three-star Edmonds (Wash.) Edmonds-Woodway DL Ali Gaye (uncommitted): As we reported at the time of his offer Gaye was viewed as an academic question mark in the eyes of the UW coaches. At minimum Gaye would have to redshirt at Washington, but more than likely have to grey shirt in order to get his academics in order. While UW and Gaye review academics the three-star prospect confirmed with Rivals he will take an official visit to Ole Miss on Jan. 27-29, the only official he's set at this point. I don't view Gaye as a prospect UW will take unless he agrees to grey shirt, and if he can get into Ole Miss I don't see him taking the UW offer.

2017 three-star San Pedro (Calif.) offensive tackle Nick Ford (uncommitted): Washington secured its second offensive line commitment in 3-star OG Cole Norgaard, who made his pledge during his official visit last weekend. This weekend the Huskies will host Ford and there is a chance UW could elect to take Ford's commitment, take their third OL for this class and let that be the class. However, with UW still in play for Pola-Mao and OT Austin Jackson, there could be a wait and see approach the Huskies take with Ford, should he want to commit this weekend.

2018 four-star Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco athlete Jaiden Woodbey (uncommitted): Woodbey told me after the UW/Bama game that there was a little bit of a knock of Washington when it came to his interest, but he didn't say it was a massive deal. With USC's showing in the Rose Bowl the Huskies appear to have slipped behind the Trojans with Southern Cal making his final four and UW being left out.
