2018 three-star Palmdale (Calif.) running back Richard Newton (uncommitted): Washington was the first school to offer Newton back in early April, and since then several other Pac-12 schools have followed suit. Newton said Thursday he will visit Washington, Utah, Cal and Nevada this summer but no dates have been set yet. He added that his relationship with UW running backs coach Keith Bhonapha is very strong and while he would commit to a number, Newton said the Huskies are "high" on his list. The read is Washington is the favorite right now and it appears that he could commit on his visit this summer, but with no date in mind that'll be a couple months down the road.
2018 Sacramento (Calif.) American River C.C. defensive tackle Caleb Tremblay (uncommitted): UW defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski visited Tremblay earlier this spring and followed up with an offer within the past couple weeks. The 6-foot-5 and 280-pound DT is a mid-year transfer, which means he would have two years of eligibility remaining after playing his second season this fall at ARCC. Four other Pac-12 schools - Arizona, California, Colorado and Washington State - have already offered Tremblay, in addition to other Power-Five offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Purdue and Syracuse. Tremblay said he doesn't have any top list organized yet but its expected Washington will get an official visit this fall.
Keep An Eye Out: There could be a development at wide receiver in the coming months, in the addition category verses subtraction. Washington already holds three verbal commits: Austin Osborne, Marquis Spiker, and Trey Lowe, with all secure on their pledges to the Huskies. But there could be a bonus receiver in the class if the right pieces come together.
