It has become a big week for Washington on the recruiting trail as the Huskies have now nabbed their third commitment since Monday. This time it's a big fish as high three-star defensive end Anthony James II has announced his pledge to UW over Auburn and Utah. James is just beginning an official visit with the program today, but he didn't wait to make his decision known. He had been working toward making his pick after taking official visits to both Utah and Auburn earlier this month.
The Tigers looked to be in a strong position coming out of his official visit last weekend, but Washington has done a good job of building a strong connection with him throughout the offseason. He had already been on campus earlier in the spring, so he went ahead and made his choice.
James, who had been committed to Texas A&M for 15 months before backing away from that pledge in May, is now the second highest-rated commit for UW behind four-star receiver Rashid Williams.
