Clarification on PG Recruiting for 2017...

I've been asked a decent amount since the Blake Harris commitment about what this means for Daejon Davis (former UW commit) and Trae Young (close friends w/Michael Porter Jr.)...

When Washington offered Harris it became clear he was the point guard that Romar and Chillious wanted for the '17 class. Harris was instantly high on UW, and I was expecting him to commit next month after his visit. But at this point UW is officially starting to move their pieces into place for a class that could be the single best in program history.

A source told TheDawgReport.com after the Harris commitment that Washington was evaluating their options, deciding whether or not to continue pursuing Young and Davis. With Jaylen Nowell committed as well, UW is likely to simply take Porter Jr. and then Kris Wilkes and/or another top prospect and call it a class. But the nations best are becoming more and more attracted to UW...

Harris commits to Washington

2017 three-star Raleigh (N.C.) point guard Blake Harris announced his commitment to Washington tonight. Harris told me in a text "I love everything about Washington."

Harris is the No.145 overall prospect in 2017 and a player that Romar and Raphael Chillious coveted highly. They moved on from Davis and with Harris committing, it's now about the elite prospects including Michael Porter Jr. and others to close out the class...

Vegas Odds for UW vs Oregon

The Golden Nugget released more lines for the upcoming college football season, including a couple of Washington lines. The most surprising, is their road game against Oregon on Oct. 8, where the Huskies will hope to end a decade-plus long streak.

Oregon is a (-2) point favorite against Washington at Autzen Stadium, while the Huskies are a (-3) point favorite at home against Stanford, a marque home game for UW this season.

Washington is also a (-24) point favorite against Rutgers for the teams home opener. Most pundits expect the Huskies to win nine games this season, with the hype train riding as high as ESPN's Brad Edwards having Washington in his College Football Playoff this season.

Note on 2017 4-Star ATH Salvon Ahmed

2017 four-star Kirkland (Wash.) Juanita athlete and Rivals250 prospect Salvon Ahmed tweeted out this afternoon he will announce his top five later today. We will be able to speak with him Friday/tomorrow at The Opening to get more of a breakdown, but expect Washington, Stanford and Notre Dame to be three of the five schools.

From what I've been told I still believe Washington is the school he ends up committing to. Ahmed is not going to be the type of kid that commits and still takes visits, which helps his case for Washington.
