Update on one potential draft-eligible Husky...

I'm told UW running back Myles Gaskin has not made any decisions on his future and that next week a decision is expected to come down one way or another. Penn State RB Saquon Barkley and Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson have already announced they will both enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

Gaskin could see a benefit in waiting another year to increase his stock. On the flip side former UW RB Dwayne Washington shocked many people by declaring early, since most felt he wouldn't be drafted, and got selected by the Detroit Lions in the 7th round, starting twice as a rookie in 2016.

Huskies DB absent from bowl practices

Former four-star recruit Kentrell Love, who signed with UW in the 2016 class from Corona (Calif.) Centennial, is absent from the Huskies bowl practices and away from the team at home with his family.

I'm told no decision has been made as to whether or not Love will transfer out after the season is over, as of this week. UW moved Love to safety and during fall camp he had been playing in front of the freshman, who overtook a majority of the end of game reps behind the first and second stringers.

Update on Four-Star Defensive Back...

I'm told 2018 four-star Everett (Wash.) Archbishop Murphy cornerback Kyler Gordon will sign during the early signing period, but on Thursday instead of Wednesday (when essentially UW will announce all the current commits as signees).

Gordon, the No. 3 in-state recruit per Rivals' rankings, is expected to choose between Notre Dame and Washington when his decision comes Thursday. The Huskies hosted the four-star recruit this past weekend for his final official visit, and indications are UW may have sealed the deal during his visit. However, his decision will have to wait and that would mean Chris Petersen can't comment on Gordon since his NLI won't be received tomorrow.

Couple notes from the other weekend visitors...

This morning Brandon Kaho confirmed on Twitter he will sign with Washington on Wednesday (Dec. 20) after committing last night. That puts to rest any chance of Alabama rumors coming up.

UW hosted two other official visitors this weekend: four-star CB Kyler Gordon and three-star CB Dimitri Stanley, a current verbal commit to Colorado who the Huskies offered about a month ago. I got confirmation this morning that Stanley did make the visit but that as of now no decision has come from the trip.

Jimmy Lake would like to add a couple more DBs to the class along with three-star CB Dominique Hampton who’s already committed.
