Story: Jake Browning Thankful for UW Coaches, Paying it Forward in Recruiting

I talked with Jake Browning at Pac-12 Media Day last week and since Friday my laptop has been frozen. So I'd hoped to get these stories out sooner but...beginning the full focus into fall camp a look at how Washington has used its now-senior QB in recruiting.

Browning isn't the biggest recruiter and doesn't really do much until they get on campus for either an unofficial or official visit. He told me a story about breaking out of his shell, as a way to pay it forward and thanking the UW coaches for how well they have treated him, by going out of his way and taking time with Jacob Sirmon to explain the program from a first-hand players viewpoint.

Story: 2019 Huskies QB Commit Dylan Morris talks rehab, Elite 11 and more

2019 four-star UW quarterback commit Dylan Morris was among the group of players selected for the Elite 11 finals in Dallas, Texas this summer. Morris spent the spring rehabbing from offseason surgery and getting to know Bush Hamdan, among other topics we covered...

The Auburn-Washington hype train is full steam ahead. 45 days from Wednesday the two teams, both assumed to be in the preseason Top 25 polls, will square off in Atlanta. I went on ESPN Central Texas last week and fielded a variety of Husky related questions, the most striking: is 10-2 the bar/minimum that UW fans will expect in 2018?

Returning from personal time...

Hey all,

Just wanted to post that I took some time off the past month-ish for personal reasons (taking care of a couple things) and also coming up with some new features and ideas for the site that will be laid out in the coming weeks.

I am looking to make this a unique home for UW fans, and for fans of good storytelling, writing, news, etc. I'm not a big fan of doing a huge big spectacle, but rather let the work do the convincing and that includes getting feedback from you guys on what you want to see.

That being said I've also got a lot of stories coming from interviews I've been doing within the personal time when it allowed for it. I've got my energy back which is the main thing and I'll be down in Los Angeles next Wednesday for Pac-12 Media Day.

Just wanted to let you all know without getting into specifics why I haven't been posting the last month. That being said...

*** Back in May I spent time with Dylan Morris after his surgery. We talked about his rehab, Elite 11, and he also snuck in when he might enroll at UW...

*** Last week I went on ESPN Central Texas to talk UW/Auburn, the national perception of UW and what the W/L bar should be for 2018. I transcribed it out and attached the audio at the bottom of the story.

Huskies land commitment from Asa Turner

Big pickup for Washington, Turner is listed as an athlete and was being recruited as either a wide receiver or linebacker. Looks like a lot of schools offered the three-star prospect as a linebacker.

The Huskies now have 12 total commitments and are currently 30th in the recruiting rankings:
