Washington Set to Host 2018 3-Star OL

2018 three-star Houston (Tex.) Second Baptist offensive tackle Victor Crune will take an unofficial visit to Washington on July 10. The Huskies have been rising over the past couple months for the Lone Star prospect since offering on June 1. Crune is the only Texas OL recruit to hold an offer from the Huskies and I spoke recently with him about his interest. I'm hoping to get more from him before the visit, but the Huskies are heading into the visit in good shape.

Quick Note on 4-Star OL Justin Dedich

With 2018 four-star Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral center Justin Dedich announcing his commitment to USC this morning, the Huskies definitely were hoping to haul in the best interior OL on the West Coast. While a lot went into his decision and the family more than enough covered their bases with unofficial visits (visiting UW twice), don't completely close the door on Washington or others quite yet.

I'm told it's possible that Dedich still takes official visits to other schools, but he won't go out of his way to do so or create any sort of drama. For UW, that means just standing in the balance and continuing 2017 where the 2016 season essentially left off (emerging on the scene not losing to Alabama).
