Could the Huskies add another OL commit for 2018?

As I noted last night and in the past couple weeks Washington will take three OL commits for its 2018 class. With Ale being the third commit seemingly the Huskies are done for this year, but from what I've been told that might not be the case.

UW is still continuing to evaluate several players, including three-star OT Cade Beresford as I posted this morning. So, while Washington will take at least three in this years class depending on performance and numbers there could be room for another in this class.

One more OL name to watch moving forward...

With 2018 four-star Temecula (Calif.) Chaparral OL Steven Jones committed to Oregon one name I've been told to keep an eye on is three-star Glendale (Ariz.) Deer Valley OG Joey Ramos.

Washington made his top/final six back on July 4, and since then some pieces have moved around on the Huskies recruiting front. One thing to remember for the final OL spot in 2018 is UW already has two tackles (Mele and Curne) in the class, and ideally the third would be either a center or guard.

MJ Ale is more of a tackle prospect, and while UW certainly is recruiting him hard without question being in his top two, that could be something to keep note of as the OL class sorts itself out.

Two Quick Recruiting Updates..

Washington is roughly under an hour from wrapping up its first practice of the fall and only two recruit are attending practice: four-star Bothell (Wash.) QB / Washington commit Jacob Sirmon and four-star Everett (Wash.) Archbishop Murphy CB Kyler Gordon.

One recruit who is not here that was expected to be is three-star Palmdale (Calif.) RB Richard Newton. I'm told there was a mixup in his fight plans and there isn't enough time to reschedule with the NCAA mandated dead period beginning August 1 (tomorrow). I will try to reach Newton this evening to see where things stand but UW sits well with three-star RB Christopher Brown, and that could be the prospect UW takes in this years class.

One other recruit of note is 2018 three-star Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial CB Dominique Hampton, who recently visited Colorado before he makes his decision later in August.

"It went very well. Just the environment and atmosphere. Another thing that stood out with the coaches and it’s seems like the Genuinely want to see the athletes be successful on and off the field."

Washington remains in search of its first defensive back commitment for the class. Gordon is also considering take some official visits before he decides, but UW would love to take the local four-star CB in this years class.
