2020 DE Lands UW Offer Following Visit

Washington hosted 2020 three-star Indio (Calif.) Shadow Hills defensive end Jake Shipley on Monday and followed up with an offer Tuesday. Shipley, listed at 6'5 and 250-pounds, now has 12 scholarship offers including eight from the Pac-12.

The Huskies hosted No. 69 ranked player from California in the 2020 class, according to Rivals' rankings, for the first time this week and are expected to get the three-star DE back on campus again in the coming months.

Huskies Offer 2020 Four-Star Defensive End...

Washington extended an offer Thursday to 2020 four-star Modesto (Calif.) Modesto Christian defensive end Xavier Carlton, the No. 19 strong-side DE in the class according to Rivals' rankings.

Carlton, a 6-foot-3 and 235-pound lineman has 24 scholarship offers now with the Huskies joining his list. He now has an offer from every school in the Conference of Champions with UW being the final missing Pac-12 program.

Four-Star OL Includes Washington In Top Five...

2020 four-star Ferndale (Wash.) offensive guard Geirean Hatchett released his top five this week, which listed (in alphabetical order): Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Stanford and Washington.

I was supposed to catch up with him this week after he made another unofficial visit to UW on Saturday, but between an ongoing migraine battle and phone tag I haven't gotten to do so yet. As I noted on the board recently I still expect the Huskies to land the coveted four-star lineman, and it would not be surprising if he did so before the end of April if not sooner.

The Huskies have their spring preview/game on April 27, but with a handful of other top recruiting targets visiting before then it wouldn't be a shock to see the 2020 class add a few more names this month.

2020 Four-Star SF Sets Commitment Date; UW Among Finalists

Washington hosted 2020 four-star Las Vegas (Nev.) Liberty SF Julian Strawther for an official visit towards the end of the 2018-19 men's basketball season, and remain firmly in the picture with his commitment date now set.

Strawther, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound junior is ranked as the No. 37 overall prospect in the 2020 class by Rivals and holds 18 scholarship offers including UW. On April 18, his birthday, Strawther will announce his commitment after trimming his list down to 10 in February which listed the Huskies.
