Here are just a few fun facts about the Washington football team as they prepare to take on California this Friday.

The last time (until now) Washington played two games in a span of six or fewer days was in 1944.

According to the NCAA, UW has played the second-toughest schedule in the nation to date.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins's 81 receptions are tied for third-most in UW history by a tight end and 1,016 yards rank fifth. His nine touchdown receptions also rank third by tight end. His 40 receptions this year are the most in the nation by a tight end.

Bishop Sankey ranks fifth in Pac-12 rushing.

Washington and California are the only two teams that have played in what is now the Pac-12 in every season since the league was founded in 1916. The Huskies hold a 50-38-4 record in the all-time series that began in 1904.

UW has three coaches on its current staff that are former Cal assistant coaches: offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau, defensive line coach Tosh Lupoi and offensive line coach/run game coordinator Dan Cozzetto.

With three games of 100+ yards and 92 against Oregon State, yes, I'd have to agree. Sankey is really learning how to run in this Washington offense.
